Security & privacy

A private place
for what matters.

Your memories are personal. They’re private by default, and you choose what to share. Here’s how #memory handles the things you save.

01 / Private by default

Saving something doesn’t publish it.

A note you save isn’t posted to a public feed or automatically shared with other accounts. Sharing is a separate choice you make.

Access to memories in the cloud is checked against account ownership and sharing permissions.

02 / Protected connections

Encrypted while it travels.

#memory uses HTTPS with Transport Layer Security (TLS) to encrypt connections between your device and our services. This protects your notes, keywords, and attachments while they’re being sent or synced.

Encryption helps prevent information from being read or changed in transit. This protection works automatically whenever you connect to #memory.

You sign in with Apple or Google. #memory uses a signed-in session to connect you to your account; you don’t need to create another password for #memory.

03 / Your saved information

With you, across your devices.

#memory is available on iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows. The apps keep memories on your device for offline use and sync them to your account when you’re signed in and connected.

Cloud services store and sync your memories, while attached photos, videos, and documents use separate file storage. Local storage and system integrations can differ between platforms.

04 / Sharing & files

Choose what leaves your account.

Connecting an assistant is also a sharing choice. Sign in and approve its permissions, optionally limit access by keyword, and revoke the connection in your account. Assistant credentials cannot sign in to your #memory account. Revoking access stops future requests; it cannot retrieve content an assistant has already received.

You can share selected memories through links, invitations, groups, or channels. Who can open them depends on the sharing option you choose.

When an ongoing share ends, copies already received or saved can remain with the recipient. A downloaded file can’t be taken back.

About direct file links

Some attachment links can be opened by anyone who has the link, including after a share ends. Don’t pass on a direct file link unless you want to share the file. The privacy policy explains how attachment links work.

05 / Your choices

Room to change your mind.

  • Edit or delete a memory. Manage what you keep from within the app.
  • Manage ongoing shares. Review the links and invitations you’ve created.
  • Delete your account. Use Settings in the app or our account deletion page.
  • Ask about your data. Contact us to request access, corrections, or help.

06 / A few questions

The details, without the jargon.

We don’t sell or rent your personal information, or share it with third parties for their own marketing or advertising.

Email admin@usememory.com with a description of the issue. Please avoid including passwords, sign-in tokens, or someone else’s private content.
